the vision /
There are more than seven billion people sharing our world today. And there may be nine billion by 2045.
our vision: Mankind has the potential to improve the way in which we produce food, fuel and fiber.
our mission: To explore new frontiers in agricultural sustainability where we creatively deploy technologies to eliminate the environmental impacts of past agricultural production processes.
our getting there: Bio Town Ag is making sustainability real by using proven technology to mitigate the environmental impact of our livestock operations. We are profitably converting manure and other organics into energy and other useful co-products.
Come see how it works!
Our farm is a typical Indiana multigenerational family farm. Through the years we have managed the risks of our family farming business and grown as the economy and livestock market cycles presented opportunities to us.
We have long been good stewards of the land and water. Desiring to build on that tradition, we acquired an anaerobic digester and began converting animal waste into energy, fertilizer and soil.
Because optimizing the efficiency of the digester required we feed it more organic material than was available on our farm, we began accepting organic by-products from neighboring industries.
Today, the business has grown to include the farming operation, as well as one of our nation's leading recyclers of organic by-products. We call that recycling business
Back 2 Earth organic material recycling.
Back 2 Earth helps many industries, such as food processing and distribution, reduce their organic by-product disposal costs. It also keeps these materials out of landfills and helps these companies meet their sustainability policy objectives.
The future is looking bright. As new technologies evolve, we will implement them to produce more energy and further secure the sustainability of our livestock operations.
Considerations for the future may include dry-mill ethanol production, which will produce fuel for vehicles and yield such co-products as dried distillers grain with solubles (DDGS) that we will feed to our cattle and swine.
We also seek to improve our liquid fertilizer processing capability, operate a greenhouse, and brand and market a multitude of valuable co-products, flowing from our integrated recycling and farming processes.
